We don’t just make parts, we make parts better.
Our team has the hands-on experience you need. AccuForm will participate in the design for manufacture review to give your product the shortest possible lead time at the lowest cost to produce. Not only are we experienced in the development of precision machining for parts with many features, but we have a thorough understanding of the casting process – including the challenges and variations that must be accommodated for best machining results. Our ability to machine parts to ultra-tight tolerances and alignment requirements sets us apart from the rest of the industry.
AccuForm is the region’s most qualified single-source for precision machined castings. Our customers have no concerns about the quality of the castings - our team accepts responsibility for the casting quality as well as the machining. Our clients need only accept finished parts. This can include plating, painting, assembly, pressure testing, and other services. By taking on the logistics, there is no finger pointing between the foundry, the machine shop, or other outside services – our team owns the process.
We also have many product programs in which the castings are provided. To ensure that only conforming castings are machined, we are able to pre-qualify each part with our CMM process.
Our machining facility consists of fourteen horizontal machining centers with 4 or 5 axis capability, two vertical machining centers with 4 or 5 axis capability, a full tooling and fixturing fabrication department (including two additional CNC vertical mills), and over 6,000 pieces of dedicated rotating tooling. In addition, we manage our machine pallets to reduce change over time - leaving setups built that are scheduled for repetitive production runs.
The result of our proven design and manufacturing process is maximum uptime and superior turn around time for our customers.
When the decision is made, we can secure the castings for the program, or, if there is an existing foundry relationship, we can liaison between the customer and the foundry. The goal is to achieve optimum “castability,” best-possible machinability, and maximum cost containment at every stage of the process.
AccuForm supplies precision aluminum castings up to 30”X40”X20” and weighing up to 300 lbs.
AccuForm is uniquely capable of designing highly effective fixtures, particularly for workholding. Designs are created to accommodate split lines, draft angles, post casting finished areas, vibration damping, and to prevent issues with clearances and ergonomics.
Our fixtures are specific to the machine and casting, vertical or horizontal spindle, and can use hydraulic, pneumatic or manual clamping – or a combination. The fixtures can be designed to accommodate multiple cast parts, often with just minor modifications in support structures.
We leverage this knowledge on every part and manufacturing process design. We are able to machine parts that are up to 36” x 48”.
AccuForm also has extensive experience in the machining of forgings, extrusions, and parts from solid stock.
The patterns we design and produce are for the V-process, green sand process, and air-set castings. Although we do not make tooling for investment, permanent mold, or die castings, we are able to machine these products just as easily.
